In this global pandemic of Covid 19, we at NHS Ortho Robotics followed the mandatory lockdown for the first 2 1/2 months where everything was shut down and we dissuaded our own patients from undergoing any elective surgery. However with total precautions, emergency surgeries did not stop even for one day.
Till 25th of May 2020, after the Rt-PCR test and the other extra-ordinary precautions for Covid, were available freely and people understood the disease more, we reopened elective surgery and throughout from then onwards, the team at Nhs Ortho Robotics, NHS Hospital Jalandhar has followed the most stringent precautions to tackle and prevent Covid infections.
All our patients undergo mandatory COVID-19 testing before surgery and all patients admitted to the hospital are Covid negative. The entire staff including doctors have now received vaccines for Covid-19 and undergo stringent regular health checkups.
We are at the verge of herd Immunity in India.
And we consider that elective surgery like knee replacement is now safe.
